Even while collecting experience and new musical ideas in Amsterdam and Brussels, the young and upcoming musicians of “4s” (spoken: “four’s” = “force”) have always stayed connected to and in Luxembourg, the country they all originated from. The first time they played together was a spontaneous concert at a local festival in 2009, and the chemistry was right from the beginning. After some writing, rehearsing and searching for the right sound and energy, the result is a fresh blend of modern improvised music, drawing influences from alternative rock, pop and hip-hop, without forgetting the classical and jazz tradition. A first full-length album is planned to be released in winter 2012/2013. So convince yourselves of the sonic experience given by the quartet, showing through their original compositions a unique approach to modern jazz with crispy and strong grooves, warm harmonies, gentle melodies, different moods and a big amount of interaction and fun!

Hailing from the basements of Luxembourg, 7 Days on Fire broke into the Rock scene in 2010 with their debut album Holiday Emergency Plan.

The band was born as an enigma, and idea created by friends that manifested into this meaningful project.

As a Ballad Power-Pop, Experimental Rock band, containing members from notable Luxembourg bands, 7 Days on Fire is the culmination of experienced local musicians and long time friends, sharing the same backstage, rehearsals and sweaty moshpits since teenagers, now having appetite to chase a dream.

Acrylic, an acoustic duo influenced by bon iver, fleet foxes, blur etc. is a solid example of the magic an acoustic guitar can do. Acrylic was formed early 2012 late 2011 and they were formed to participate in the Battle of the Bands of the European School eventually winning it and gaining a possibility to play at the Screaming fields in 2012.

AKA NGL is a community of artists collaborating on various productions with the one a.k.a. NG in Luxembourg, songwriter and performing artist. The start is made in 2012 by the arrangement of a few songs, old and new ones to see the light of day  … featuring singer Steve Bucari, drummer David Gawlik, guitarist Ruben Mendoza, to mention just a few working on song material.
Many songs have been created and recorded during his singing career spanning over 20 years, and a selection will be arranged and recorded regularly with the new material in to the future, in different styles of music and with various artists.

All the Way Down is a Melodic Punk Band from Luxembourg.
The first rehearsals took place in March 2009.
Mitchio Weber played the Guitar,
Mateus Wojda was on the bass,
and John Wolter was on the drums.
Nobody could be found to take on the vocals, so John, the drummer of the band, decided to become the Lead Singer.
The first concert the band played was on the “Food for your senses” of 2009, and was a great success for the band, without any stage expericence.
They’re getting better every day, and put all their heart and spare time into their music.

After a long hard year of writing, creating and growing together, the Angels released their first single City Romance in February 2010, giving the public a first taste of the special Angel At My Table song style. This track, part of their first EP released in April 2010, stands out with its catchy chorus.It hit radio stations in the country like a bomb, reaching the top spot in the Luxembourg charts and remaining in the top 3 for 12 consecutive weeks.

Playing their music with utmost energy is the only way they know how. Their music is an abundance of 3 of the most successful styles in modern music. That cliché dirty guitar sound of rock symphonising with a simply addictive melody of synthesizers with deep and high pitched tones that just stick in your head for hours.

Anthem of the Sun is a young newcomer band from Luxembourg. Our music is some kind of Rock/Pop. An important aspect is the multitude of different influences including Musical, Soul, Hard Rock and many more. What makes us different is the use of the electric violin, which is not only a substitute of the lead guitar.The band was founded in the summer of 2009 by Patrick (guitar / back. vocals), Laurent (keys), Christophe (electric violin) and Jeff (drums). Songwriting and rehearsals began, we played our first gig at the Food for your Senses Festival 2010. Soon more concerts at Rockhal (Screaming Fields Festival) and Kulturfabrik followed.

From Nancy, Aud is currently working with L’Autre Canal (Nancy), Les Trinitaires (Metz) and Rockhal (Luxembourg), the group Aud is a multi-instrumentalist folk duo, inspired by Patrick Watson, Sufjan Stevens, Beirut and even Bob Dylan. Playing intimately  with the audience allowed them to play the opening act to Uncle Ben Soul, Stuntman, or JP Nataf and also at Nancy Jazz Pulsations Festival.

Backyard – Alternative Pop/Rock from Luxembourg

Founded in 2010, Birdbones had a successful appearance throughout Luxembourg in 2011, releasing a videoclip and playing a dense concert tour. There were some line-up changes in 2012, resulting in the current formation: Dan, Erik, Jonah and Romy, the new singer from Amsterdam who joined the Band in early 2013. Working hard on their upcoming first full- length album, Birdbones are planning to cross the borders and break new grounds. Solid, pulsating grooves are their vehicle, expressive melodies and touching lyrics their tools to produce their catchy sound, influenced by whatever the members find appealing, reaching from progressive to world music.

Created in 2007, Blue Soxxxs hits the road again in 2012after one year of involuntary pausing.
After a single and video release and in December 2011, band members Pol, Gilles, Fio and René will continue working on the huge mass of sound material collected during the 2 years after their first Album“Story of lill’boy blue”. Influences
and styles have evolved, more attention will be dedicated to song structures and
the overall sound of the future album and the recording process itself.

Box Social is an alternative and electro hiphop duo. Its members include Hotrox, an M.C. and a producer, and Light Being, a producer and live effects performer. They have spent the last year recording their debut album and the release is scheduled for the near future (June 2012). At the same time they have been building up an intricate live set with visuals that they have already performed multiple times in Amsterdam, Luxembourg and Berlin.

BSF (Bru, Surfdude, Funky) is 3 guys with talent, Mac’s and ideas just dying to write good radio-rock

After practicing his craft for more than fifteen years in Luxembourg’s music scene as a singer, songwriter and guitarist, Chris broke into the local rock scene in 2007 with his debut EP “Open End”. “Open End” featured no less than three hit singles that played on local radio stations such as RTL, Eldoradio and DNR. Songs from “Open End” also appeared on two “Best of Luxemburg” music compilations.

The artist’s latest album “No Excuses”, released on October 2nd 2009, blends Chris’s dynamic vocal work with with outstanding guitars and unconventional sounds to churn out a fine collection rock for a new generation of fans.

New CD, new band line up, new tour. 2012 seems to become an exciting year for CHR!S. The band is proud to present their third album ‘Time’ featuring their current single ‘Sacrifice’, which is already being played on the local radio stations.

Cosmic Jerk plays a fusion of pop, soul, funk, gogo, surf and other styles. The fusion of music styles colors the sound and groove, making the audience want to party and dance the night away.   Most of the songs are born in the creative mind of their front man Aydin Bilis with the rest of the band adding their groovy touch.

The band is currently based in the UK but has roots in Luxembourg and often return to perform.

CATS describe their sound as Lounge Pop, whatever that means. Without aiming towards a specific style, they always leave traces of Bossanova, jazz flute and gospel folk harmonies. Their sound cultivated from the annals of southern culture; a mix of sand and sea governed by the golden state.

Cristobal and the Sea’s live sets vary a lot, sometimes having friends joining in to play any instrument they desire. The atmosphere always remains magically pleasant.

Soundwave EP is the first record of the band as a three-piece, with Sebastien Laas on guitars, Pit Reyland on drums and Yves Stephany on bass.
Following the This Is Aerial Space-Rock, Keep Your Hair On!! album, released in 2010 by founder Sebastien Laas, Soundwave EP features 6 brand new recordings that capture the exciting live sound of Cycloramas’ concerts in 2010/11.

During the last 8 years, Daniel Balthasar has become one of the most known songwriters in Luxembourg. His 2003 debut Fingerprints had an incredible total of 122 weeks of airplay and opened up the doors for his 2005 international release Outlines, which was published in 6 countries.

David Mourato is a multidisciplinary artist. Being a graphic designer professionally, he combines music and graphic design, adding a new dimension to his work. Every project is a new challenge to express himself as far as he can and specially all on his own.

“De Läb” is a luxembourgish Hip-Hop Collective, founded in 2006 by three young fellows
from the “Minett” in the south of Luxembourg.
Corbi (rapping & beats), David Fluit (rapping & cuts) and Dj Lomki aka Jazzy Jeff (live-dj &
cuts), are skillfully, and not without a hint of irony, representing the ways of the “New
School” blended with the mentality from back in the days and come across funky-fresh
with a healthy sense of humor.
Their poetry concerning various subjects, which is made in the “Läb-cave”, is essentially
synthesized in luxembourgish. From politics over everyday life in Luxembourg to more
personal themes, all of the ingredients are being very carefully observed, analyzed and
laid out in Läb-jargon. “De Läb’s“ music is cheering up its listeners but also sending out
some deeper thoughts every now and then.
“De Läb” is a true live-band, dedicated to take their audience in a swing and make them
move. To underline the Live-effect, René “Daiwelskärel” Macri on the bass and Mike
“Blueprint” Zeyer on the drums joined the crew and put some real instruments in the show.
Ever since, they have been roaming the country, invading the smallest pub-bars and
playing on big stage festivals rocking the crowd.
One thing is for sure:
“De Läb” has become an important part of the luxembourgish music-scene and is
constantly surprising their audience with new acoustic massages.

Diario, founded in 2012 by singer-songwriter Andrea and Ex Members of NISROC, Janu, Fabio and Nico, is a Poprock band.

They had their first gig in November 2012 and their 3rd concert was already at the mainhall in Rockhal in front of 4000 people as support act for Silbermond

Influences are bands like Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, three days grace, Bon Jovi…

At the moment they are recording their first record in the Valicon Studios in Berlin (Silbermond, Marc Trenzi, Thomas Godoj..)

In the first year since their birth in 2010, Diatribe had some trouble getting started with writing music, but after a while, they found their own zone and were comfortable enough with eachother to start throwing ideas around freely, and as a result, their creative output has increased ten-fold.

It was in the year 2005 when everything began. Mauro, Daniel and Marc had played in the band “artis dead”. In late 2010 they decided to split and to found a new band with Philippe on the guitar. Inspired by bands such as Fu Manchu, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, The Subways and The Vines, they gave their passion and love to the new band, called “Dirty Crows”. Now in 2011 the time for the big fat black crows has come to hit the stage with their desert Rock’n’Roll.

District 7, a Luxembourgish alternative punk-rock band, was founded in 2011 by Julien, Noah and David. After Anita joined the band as bassist, they started writing songs and played their first show in October 2012 at the Dqliq Musicbar. In January 2013, they recorded one of their songs, called ‘Revolution’. After many gigs in pubs like Scott’s Pub, Aula or Stage Bar, they played at the Newcomer Festival 2013 in Dahlem and are going to play at the Screaming Fields Festival and the Dudelange on Wheels 2013.

“Dream catcher” is John Rech’s solo project. The former T42 singer is a well-known festival promoter in his country and close to a music all-rounder. He’s been promoting gigs for almost 20 years in his country, travelled Europe as a tour manager with bands like Wir Sind Helden, Ezio, Tito & Tarantula or the Bananafishbones. ‘s manager. T42 was one of the most renown Luxembourgish bands between 1990 and 2005 and were one of Luxembourg’s biggest export bands. They also opened for the biggest international acts, such as Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson (sorry about that), Alanis Morissette and many many more.

A woman came out the depths of her cave as a vampire, slowly crawled into a recording studio in the basement to unleash some synchronized waves of brain activity.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The first song the band composed was written in 30 minutes and received a great response via the web. Then came an unexpected gig at Rocas and the band set to work in writing song after song in the space of five days. For a month they worked on and improved each song as well as writing new ones. Egil and the Elk then took part in a Battle Of The Bands contest in d:qliq hosted by Bonus Noise and to their surprise and delight, won first prize. Feeling the support of the growing fanbase, the band was encouraged to go on to work harder and want more!

ELEPHANT GHOST’S aim is to write high-class popsongs. Against the background of an evident and explicit composition, the identity of the songs is based on catchy melodies. When it comes to style, Elephant likes to go back to the timeless arrangements of the late 1960’s and the beginning of the 70’s. These Retro elements are complemented by post-modern Indie-Rock and synthesizer tunes. The result is a harmonic symmetry between past, future and present, reduced to simple pop music. Eventually the unique feminine vocals are turning the Elephant-sound to a special musical experience.

In early summer 2010 Sue, Christian and Guy met Andy and Thierry who were looking for musicians to perform their creations live and in a full band environment. The combination turned perfect when Kim  joined in to hit the bass. The lineup was now complete, ready to go the rocking way to the gates of their Elysium.

The band’s musical style could be described as symphonic progressive metal/rock.

Bands like Dream Theater, Symphony X and Nightwish have great influence on the band´s songwriting.

In 2012, they played several gigs in Luxemburg.

In 2013, their first album „Destination unknown“ should finally be released.

Everwaiting Serenade released in 2006 a critically acclaimed and well-deserved slap in the face of a dormant heavy music scene. Acts like Fast Friday, ExInferis and dEFDUMp suddendly had new brothers In Arms. EWS quickly shared local and international stages with the likes of Parkway Drive, The Comeback Kid or The Red Chord.

Alternative rock band from just over the border in Merzig, Germany. They released their first 3-song EP entitled “Circus For Everyone” for free download in September 2010.

 

Their live debut was in October 2010 heralding the next chapter, in the following months. They qualified to represent Saarland in the national finals of  ”Local Heroes” newcomer contest in Germany.

Falling Promises is a Metalcore band from Luxembourg, formed in 2008. End of 2008, the guitarist and singer left the band, then Eric Weishaar joined as second guitar, and Mike Rodrigues joined the band as Vocalist. About one year they worked on songs, which would influence Falling Promises with a touch of Hardcore, Metalcore, and a lot of Melodic Riffs.
With influences like For Today, For The Fallen Dreams and Emmure, they try to make their own Metalcore-style.

FedeLux is an Electronic Dance Music Producer and DJ, Radio Host and Label Manager from Luxembourg.

Specialized in DJing Electro House and Dubstep he has been mixing in the most renown Luxembourgish clubs (VERSO, Melusina, Secret and many more) and festivals (Food for your senses 2012, fete de la musique, Screaming Fields) and also featured on some international appearances in Italy and Germany.Signed to multiple respected labels, he has been stirring up lots of recognition for his original tracks and mixes both online and on the dance floor, a FedeLux Live experience is something not to be missed!

Five Cent Cones as you know them today were born in January 2011. After our first concerts, such as FFYS 2011 and Screaming Fields 2011, we knew that we wanted to keep making music. Now, after a succeeded summer 2011, we recorded our first EP ‘Behind Inconspicuous Doors” in Winter 2011/2012.

Jimmy Leen, guitarist of versus you, started Fox as a solo/side project. Over the months it has grown to a five piece rock band. The band is currently working on a first full length album. Stay tuned!

Guy Noel is a distinct and passionate singer-songwriter born in Luxembourg.

His style consist of acoustic folk, rock and pop.

Influenced by various styles, he developed his distinct sound, characterized by the melancholy and his emotional power.

His debut album ‘ Let Me Be Myself’ reflects an honest songwriting of a lifetime he was passing through.

Laptops, mystical trees, heaps of cables and flickering synthesizers, langourous guitars at a half-over funk party and bytes engaged in forbidden modification procedures – this seems to be the habitat of Hal Flavin.

In 2005, the dream of recording an album under the name of Haute Tenzion came true for Lucien Briscolini (vocals) and Steve Trzebanski (guitar). Soon after the release of “Univers de pourris”, Paul Scholtes (bass) joined this musical adventure, along with Max Matgen (drums) and Roll Rossi (solo guitar). Haute Tenzion’s latest album “Un monde à l’envers” was recorded at Equinox Studios Luxembourg and released in early 2011.

Heartbeatparade is a three-piece band from Luxembourg creating and performing instrumental rock combined with sampling.

In summer 2011, Heaven’s Scum played their first notes together. It wasn’t clear which style it would be or what music would come out, but with many different influences they mixed up a sound that combine all of their favorite styles and bands.

This Blues’n'Rock Band was created in 2009 by old friends who occasionally met for some jam sessions.Finally, they decided to create the band.

Impact Hour is an alternative punk rock band from Luxembourg. Their musical influences varies from the darkest black metal to the greatest rock bands.
The band was founded in the summer of 2010 as a school project. At first, we didn’t quite know which music genre we wanted to play because our musical influences and interests were as wide as the horizon.
In May 2012 they will perform at the Newcomer Festival in Dalheim and in June 2012 they will perform at the Screaming Fields Festival

Falling through the ceiling of a glossy hotel room in Paris after a night of relentless hedonism, the singer realises the iconic nature of everything that surrounds us. Unable to move, under the shocked gaze of the receptionist, he has the intuition of a sound heavily influenced by minimal techno and the orchestral pop signatures of the late sixties. Like a haunted car chase through a processed plexiglass architecture, there is a sensation of danger to this music that feels increasingly agitated, baroque and futuristic.

We came together as a musical pair in 2010: two guitars and a voice. In the name of our love for melodies and stories, we try to combine the melancholy of folk music with the rhythm and lightheartedness of the pop music. Since then, our musical family has grown: we are lucky to be joined by Bob Mersch, Davide Mirizzi and Pascal Devé. With the help of their talent and enthusiasm our music can be more and more affiliated to rock music, which allows us to have a more varied and colorful playlist. We are currently working on a few new songs: The brand new record should be released during the month of March 2013.

J-Ob (Jam Obsession) was born in early 2010 as the result of the meeting in Luxembourg of 2 very different personal and musical experiences, with as common roots the instrument (guitar) and the origin (Italy). Influenced by timeless classics, J-Ob proposes an acoustic and instrumental point of view at “things” like rock, funky, fusion, jazz…

Jazz From Hell is a French bass, drum & guitar trio that explores a style at the border between jazz and fusion.

Far from the standards, the temptation to create sound pictures. Jazz From Hell is the unlikely encounter between opposing musical styles: jazz melodies contrasted by the severity of the rock. The Mosellan band alternates between gentle and violence. Born in 2004, the formation of Paul, Jeremie and Cyril continues to set to music the travel diaries of the great masters: Frank Zappa, Eric Serra, Erik Truffaz or Steve Vai.

The first album, “Une vision climatisee de l’enfer” reveals a mixture of sweetness and violence.

Jeff Arckley is a band hailing from Arlon in Belgium, consisting of Vincent Soetens on acoustic guitar and Hervé Cornerotte, acoustic guitar and vocals.

The two musicians present an  acoustic set with their own original compositions in English. Their songs are oriented towards an acoustic indie pop sound that takes you on a journey between dreams and emotions. The compositions are well suited to intimate venues as well as on a stage.

Kate is a five-piece band from Luxembourg and plays finest INDIE POP with SINGER-SONGWRITER influences. After their first, more intimate album “Can you keep a secret”, Kate releases their new EP “LIFE IN STEREO” loaded with absorbing melodies and sweeping riffs in 2012.
Kate is part of the Multipistes selection 2012, a band coaching programm of the Greater Region.

The music of the “Kitshickers” is reduced to the essential – an “interesting contrast between sound worlds on many levels, complex arranged songs and minimalistic-intimistic riffs”.

LAWYERS GUNS ‘N’ MONEY (LGM) is a band formed in 2010 in the tiny tiny tiniest Luxembourg.Some random dudes trying to make some mind-blowing alternative Stoner-pop kind of Rock with influences like queens of the stone age, Chris Cornell or the Foo Fighters.

Le Cabaret Sauvage, the fecund issue of several jam sessions at their drummer’s home, first developed into an instrumental quartet based upon a versatile rhythm section. During their studies abroad, they then met a guy whose musical abilities matched the band’s concept and who finally became singer and pianist of Le Cabaret Sauvage.

Founded by the end of 2010, our early genre was a mix of Punk, Rock and Metal. After some first gigs in May 2011, we took a long break and changed our genre to Metalcore, with some influences of Punk and Death Metal. In January 2012, we restarted playing gigs, more and more intensely. Our EP “The ironwork sessions” was released on september 08

Lost in Pain is an old school metal band from Niederkorn, Luxembourg formed by Hugo Nogueira Centeno. The current line-up is Hugo Nogueira Centeno, Luca Daresta, Dario Raguso and Nathalie Haas. The band played their first show on 13 December 2008 and ever since, nothing has stopped them.

The band has been founded in 2006 and travelled through most European countries…The name “Luceed” appeared in 2007.

Xploding drums, shouting killer guitars, distorted synthesizers and impressive voices performing a controversial mix of pop, rock, alternative, punk, dark and electronic elements with an atmospheric touch.

It’s like a “darker kind” of britpop.

Not only the music comes to the fore, but also their lyrics.

LUMI quickly found a common desire to produce something which does not fit in any particular kind of music genre, per se, but something which would much rather be a journey through many different genre’s. By doing this the band avoids being put in a music ‘box’ which allows them to roam freely through different musical sphere’s, whilst experimenting and avoiding what they call ‘creative walls’. By combining different musical styles, they swiftly found the tools to stand out from present day mainstream and drift slightly towards a more alternative sound, whilst at the same time, staying energetic and keeping a slight mainstream pop feel.

The group gradually formed in 2007, everything started during spring, Michael and Thomas got in touch for the first time, a musical connection became obvious.

“Martha,” plays  RockPop music in German, and are in fact from the Eifel region, just over the border in Germany. Their catchy songs sound fresh, honest, well-crafted.

In 2011, they ventured into the studio to record their debut album  “alltagswahnsinn” (everyday madness) released in September the same year.

Mental is a coverband founded at the end of 2007 by Larry Bonifas (ex-Sleepwalk & Awacs) and by Nicolas Palumbo (ex-Lifestyle and many other bands). Due to their year-long experience on stages, it didn’t take very long for them to find a very talented and interesting female singer, Esther Pauly (ex-T42). Shorty after Esther, Tom Roilgen (ex-Lifestyle) joined the band for the percussions. There is not a second percussionist like Tom in Luxembourg; he plays the cajon, but it sounds like a whole drum set! At the beginning of 2009, the band got its fifth musician, Tom Reinardt (ex-Lifestyle, ex-Fascination, ex-…); he plays the keyboards and the piano. In November 2010, bass player Roberto Sorbelli (ex-Diesel) joined to band to help to help promote the groove of the band.

Majour changes in the band line-up occured in 2012, as Esther left the band due to different reasons. Suzan Brauers (Lifestyle) is now the female voice of the band. Due to Suzan’s year-long experience as the female singer of a Top 40 Coverband, the band can nowadays play songs that they didn’t imagine possible before …

The Michael Shepherd Band has been playing live since 1999. It is known for it’s high energy live shows, whether in small clubs or bigger venues. Apart from many originals the setlist includes quite a few Whitesnake, Free , Bad Company and Christina Aguilera (!) numbers. The Michael Shepherd Band has played several festivals and a multitude of gigs in both Luxembourg and the neighbouring countries, the most memorables being the shows with Nazz Nazz at the Kesselhaus in Berlin and opening up for Gotthard in 2007!

In the summer of 2007 five young metal fans decided to start a band. MILES TO PERDITION was born and immediatly they practiced vigorously with a clear goal: to share and mix all their influences and diverse musical tastes into one heavy yet accessible sound. After mixing all their influences the band created its own sound, which is mainly influenced by bands like: The Black Dahlia Murder, At The Gates, Lamb of God, All Shall Perish, August Burns Red ……

Monophona is the story of two people who should never have met:
She’s the introverted singer-songwriter, rooted in the folk-tradition of Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, Tom Waits… He discovered DJ-ing as a teenager and soon made a name for himself not only as a turntable artist, but also as a drum&bass producer.

For those wondering which animal makes the sound “moof”, the band’s name is actually just an alternative spelling of the colour mauve. The Luxembourgish group, founded in 1992, varies from rock to hard-rock, delivering a style they like to call “moof-rock”. Moof’s lyrics, which used to be in English, are now written in their mother-tongue and talk about issues like drugs and racism. Winners of several prizes including in the Best Pop/Rock Band category (Eldoradio, 1998), Moof have supported the likes of Status Quo, Stan Webb’s Chickenshack and Golden Earring during their decade-long career.

Members of MIAOWMIAOW (2006-2010) were joined by Pi (Mutiny on the bounty) and Paul (La fa Connected) during summer 2010 and decided to continue the band under the name MOUNT STEALTH while changing the spirit and the musical directions of the former band.

During the month of august 2011, with a new line-up , Mutiny on the Bounty completed the recordings for their second album. The addition of Cedric Czaika on the bass and Clement Delporte on the guitar has allowed MOTB to kick things off again with a bang.
It must be said that since 2004, the Luxembourgish band has certainly not taken it easy (10 tours with over 400 concerts , supporting the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon, Coheed and Cambria, Portugal the Man or even And so i watch you from afar…) with some highlights along the way such as their recent appearance at the SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Natas loves you started out playing Psychedelic music in the summer of 2007, they released Their first EP called From Natas with love in 2008.
At first Based in Luxembourg, they moved to Paris, and recorded their second Ep paintings which came out in 2010. They have played alongside bands like Oh no ono or Earland and the Carnival.
Although, their music shifted from retro music, to more modern and dancy pop music, they never forgot their retro roots, and still use beach boys/beatles like harmonies.
They are currently writing new songs for their first album ” the eighth continent ” .

The twelve musicians aged between 18 and 21 decided to form a cover band in 2011. You can see them on birthday parties, weddings and even traditional concerts, covering various artists like Santana, Amy Winehouse, Toto, Ray Charles and many more.

NoWay is a progressive rock band from the South of Belgium (Attert) founded in 2009 by Noé Chalon.

At the age of 12, he grabbed a guitar which he never put down.

Order Of The Oceans were formed in January 2011.
The inital idea came from Chris(Vocals) and Daniel(Bass) who decided to found a new band.

Porn Queen was founded by 2 Luxembourg residents Lucas Ferraz (vocals/guitar) and Fred Barreto (lead guitar) from Brasil. After Yves DeVille (drums) and Dan Fastro (bass) from luxembourg joined them, Porn Queen was born.
The band members came from different musical directions such as blues, funk, heavy metal and rock, Porn Queen’s style has always been high energy Rock’n'Roll.
From 2007 on Porn Queen played several small venues till 2010 when they got discovered by SLASH, who gave them the oportunity to open up for his show in Rockhal Luxembourg.
Since then the band’s fanbase and popularity is growing non stop. Porn Queen’s philosophy is: Dirty Talking, naughty minds, sexy moods !!!

Real Time Spinners is a “psycho-rock” band formed in February 2007. With influences from Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Doors for example, R.T.S. combines retro elements with modern musical influences using the classic rock band instrumentation (guitar, bass, drums and vocals). By adding acoustic guitars, didgeridoo and several percussion instruments, such as bongos, congas and the tambourine to the basic sound of the band, Real Time Spinners aim to create a unique yet recognisable sound of their own.

Sad But True is a five piece punkrock band from “the north of Luxembourg”. We play punkrock that is influenced by many different punkrock styles and other music as well. The lyrics deal with the inequalities and injustice in this world, they question

Transmitting stellar warmth into the sonosphere since 2011, Say Yes Dog’s music exudes the oceanic, mineral breeze of their current home-shore The Hague. Aaron Ahrends, Paul Rundel and Pascal Karier melt oozing synth-scapes and meandering time-signatures into pieces reminiscent of Fink, Miike Snow or James Blake. Daringly trying to restate instrumental categories, their songs provide kaleidoscopic vistas; guitar becomes bass, drums are melodic and vocals riffy.

Scarlet Anger is a Luxembourgish Thrash Metal band founded in 2007 by vocalist Joe Block and guitarist Fred Molitor. They released a demo as well as 2 EPs. In 2007, their first EP „La realidad es triste“ was released and allowed them to play numerous gigs such as Wacken Open Air Metal Battle 2010 in Luxembourg, Food For Your Senses. Moreover, they were supporting the German metal act Primal Fear.

In 2011, Scarlet Anger won the public vote prize for Netrock Contest.

Scene Writers are a pop band formed in 2010, internationally-oriented and based in Germany.
The three musicians, lead singer Christian Hürter, guitarist Michael Herold and drummer Sebastian Nouvortne, were all born in Germany but having partially roots in the United States of America, bringing a new type of multiculturalism to the table.
With catchy melodies that touch the profoundness of the ups and the downs of life, many in the German public began to take notice and the band started winning various newcomer contest in late 2011. Their limited debut E.P. „It’s Alright“, was well-received by the press, including music magazine „Visions“ and sold out immediately. Most recently the band were featured by the Volkswagen Soundfoundation as one of their top talents and won the 2012 John Lennon Talent
Award.

The Seed to Tree sound, especially live, has been compared to an array of acts: Fleet Foxes, Of Monsters and Men, Damien Rice, and even Mumford and Sons. Certainly their music evokes a similar folk-pop-rock passion with mesmerising and sweeping melodies, combined with solid vocal arrangements.

Despite the trio all hailing from Luxembourg the music proves mystifying for many listeners unable to pin down just where Seed to Tree in the genre spectrum is rooted, although many do say their tunes purvey a slight Irish slant and feel to them. Added to that, the haunting and thought-provoking lyrics provide an extra dimension to the band’s quality songs.

It’s no wonder those that hear Seed to Tree for the first time become hooked and keep returning for more.

Sermeq, as band project, exists since January 2005.
That year, Sermeq played some few, but fine Concerts in Luxembourg
(Electro vs.Acoustic, VitrinSonore…)
A first (Demo)-CD, showing sermeq as a trio, came out (“Messages”, 2006).
After some line-up changes, different collaborations with other
artists and musicians, sermeq released another album in 2008,
“Quotations”.
Some concerts in and around Luxembourg later, the recordings for the
following album started, and in early 2011 the new work “Nautilus” saw
the light.

Formed in 2009, ShadoWhisperS has gone through several changes, which has led to its varied line-up, now comprised of the darkest and most exotic, yet most sophisticated Shadows; here to guide their minions through worlds unknown.

 

ShadoWhisperS accepts the inner darkness all creatures covet and transform it into music, that is Symphonic Metal with a “Tincture of Gothic Fiction” it’s emotive Darkness that tells epic tales of the battle between Light and Dark, inner struggles, Heroes and Anti-heroes, Knights and Bards, and of course Life and Death.

SKINCRACK, founded in september 2009, is a quartet from Luxembourg (Europe).

In 2010/2011 the band plays several gigs in Luxembourg, including the Food For Your Senses festival, the Little Woodstock festival and the Moshball part 5 festival in Schweinfurt, Germany. The 3 songs debut EP “SKINCRACK” is released in May 2010.

During the beginning of summer 2011 the band has been reformed after a few months’s break due to line up changes on guitar and drums.

In september 2011 Denis on guitar and Gibbes on drums join the band.

Since november 2011 SKINCRACK performs with the two new bandmembers.

In november 2012 the band starts some recordingsessions for an 8 track demo album, entitled “…and there comes the steamroller!” at Concrete Records.

The album is finally released in March 2013…

SLEEPERS’ GUILT is a metal band from Luxembourg.
They play modern melodic metal with a progressive touch and clean vocals, trying to create their own sound and their own approach towards making music. Even though Sleepers’ Guilt only exists since 2011, the bandmembers can look back at a lot of experience in previous metal bands, such as Ophidian, Clean State or I Spy Apocalypse.

SONIC SEASON was founded in January 2001, they can look back on ten successful years: Shortly after its founding, the band made it to the final of a European newcomer competition, attracting the interest of several tour operators and media.

SPLEEN have developed since 2001 their characteristic sound combining acoustic and electric guitars and a unique voice.

With several local Top-Ten radio singles and gigs with international stars like Simple Minds, The Script, Paolo Nutini, Silbermond, Arid, Gentleman, …SPLEEN now present their new album “The Murder Of Lilly Stone”.

Started the Band as a trio (Ben,Harry and Seb) in 2010. Was very unproductive throughout the year. In October/November 2011 decided to start writing material to record, with a new Guitarist (Matt).

The Strysles are a group of four highly motivated musicians coming together from many different musical directions and influences, having accumulated experiences in the Luxembourgish music scene over the course of fifteen years. The Strysles are trying to mix and match different musical styles until they’re satisfied with the end result, from rock to hard rock with traces of funk and pop elements. After years of work and with a clear goal in mind, the band is finally ready to do their best to rock the stages and electrify audiences everywhere.

 

‘The Strysles’ are a nice form of therapy. You’re on a sort of island, somewhere in space, far removed from the stress and problems of your daily life. You are simply yourselves, no pretending, just simple and great. The music has a different color, another dimension … No pressure, no rivalries, no superstar temper, nobody’s looking for ‘fame’, nobody thinks he’s ‘God’ even though most band members have enormous musical skills and talent. Surface Sky was formed in the autumn of 2011 with three young but already experienced musicians from Trier. In Winter 2011/2012 they experienced their first successful performances as well as  recording  an EP in “M.O.S Studio Bitburg”.

for their style the band, due to diverse influences from rock, indie, electro and classical music makes them very difficult to classify. However the result is a symbiosis of modern rock elements and synthesizer sounds.

Formed in 2009 after a rather merry evening, Tëschegas immediately decided from the beginning to use Luxembourgish lyrics in their songs. As a huge number of bands already combine Luxembourgish lyrics with acoustic music, the band members came up with the idea to play Metal instead, sometimes more melodic sometimes a little rougher. The lyrics come around with a dose of humour and (self-)irony and cover day-to-day issues („De Rowdy“, den „Tennisuarm“, „Familljendag“,…) as well as the history of the steel industry in the south of Luxembourg („Deng Päif ass Geschicht“, „Minetter vun Gottes Gnod“, „Zolwer Gras“,…). theCARPS’ was formed in 2004 by Pol Belardi and Laurent Stirn in order to realize creative ideas and to get in touch with new musical worlds and sounds. The project started and proceeded quite sporadic at first, but after a while and some line-up changes the band became a trio. While Laurent Stirn left the band, Chris Belardi (also chief mart’s) and Aloyse Weyler (also Sad but true) joined Pol to complete the current Line up. Concerts were performed which helped the formation to improve and gain stage experience, as well as an individual sound and performance atmosphere. A major enemy of the band ist boredom, so they try to combine as many influences as possible, like 70es Psychedelic Rock, Progressive Rock, Space Rock, Post Rock, Indie Rock, Jazz,…
A first very limited demo was released in 2005. Their first album “Gaia” was released in May 2012

The Disliked started back in 2002 as a school band formed by some young guys affected by rock and roll. We got the sex, the drugs, there was just one thing missing : the rock and roll music ! So we went for it and played a trashy punkrock during a certain time. But times were changing and so did The Disliked. Some members left and others entered the crew. It was not always easy to keep up the band but we survived good as bad times. Even if we lost some members, we would still be glad to have them among us; isn’t it Jerry and Mike!?

After an unwearying and embittered struggle at the front, four brave men returned back to their native country. They were soon forced to recognize that the world had changed during their absence. As frustrating as it was, they needed to accept that excessive consumption of beer (aka drinking heavily) would not cheer them up as it had in the past. All the energy had disappeared from the world.

From the first rehearsal on, our aim was to delight and entertain the public with our love for British oriented alternative rock, producing a big sound perfect for a large festival stage, yet adaptable to smaller venues too.

And it seems as though our hard work and effort paid off, as our single -Dance-, released late 2011, is still being played on many different radio stations across Luxembourg. The song’s release was a result of The Gambling Badgers winning the ‘Brand Your Band’ contest (an annual competition supporting national newcomer Bands), fighting off a host of other acts.

Through the Luxembourg press in print, online, on the radio and even television, we were finally able to spread the word on our new band and as our name suggests, we roll the talent dice ‘gambling’ on a successful future for ‘The Gambling Badgers’.

These musicians have acquiered extended experience in Luxembourg and the large-regional music scene. Moreover, they played all, or continue to play, in other groups (Blue Shade, Lincoln Hawk, Couchgrass, Passenger, The One’ ders, Dead Boy Dreaming, Dropjaw etc).

The Neverminds got together in spring 2011. As former band members, Fabien Spaus and Chris Barbier were looking for new guitarists, they met Jonathan Fersino and Andrea Gentile at the music festival in Schifflange.

Very soon they decided to form a new band called The Neverminds. Later on, as they were saerching for a new vocalist, Kevin Krier got in and the layout was complete as it is today. Almost imediately all of the members noticed that the band’s mentality and genre was a kind of hard and alternative rock.

Hi. We are the band The Northern Lights. Theft Sound were founded in 2011 by Pedro Carneiro, Johan Nijman, Nick Atkinson and Warren Blanco and were later joined by Cathy Thomas, Emina Helena and Maristella Fatichenti.

 

All the members come from very different musical backgrounds which include; Soul, Rock, Funk, Reggae and Classical. Once blended together, a new, interesting and timeless sound was born.

 

After many days spent in the studio, recording and refining their music, Theft Sound have developed a distinct and unique style.

Thoughts Of The 4 or T.O.T.4, as they also like to be called, is a young alternative rock band from Luxembourg, formed in April 2008. The band hit the stage of the main local festivals and venues and participated at a number of contests where they won different prizes. 2010 the band was nominated in the category “best newcomer band” at Youth Music Awards, that year they also achieved 3rd at the NETROCK festival in Luxembourg’s main venue the “Rockhal”, they were the most voted Luxemburgish band. 2011 they won the prize for the “best live performance” again at a contest in the same venue. 2012 the band managed to play on the Rockhal stage again but that time as support band for The Subways. 2011 the band recorded and released their first EP “No Risk No Punk” and their second EP will be available summer 2012.

 Toxkäpp !are a 9-piece two tone ska formation  since 1995 they worked on refining their early ska-punk sound , influenced by the TWO-TONE era bands of the late 70′s early 80′s Britain

As Luxembourg ’s true SKA music pioneers they sing lyrics in their native tongue while bringing even international audiences to move and jump to their joyful , melodic sound.

You read right. Not toys, but Tuys.
Their story begins in Dudelange in 2007. Three youngsters wanting nothing more than to entertain the masses. They have their first rehearsal at ten, their first TV appearance at thirteen and their first Rockhal gig at fourteen. Laurent Thiry joins the ranks in 2011 and completes the proper rock band line-up on his bass guitar. The addition of a fourth member finally elevates their talent for catchy rock-pop to a whole new level.
Tuys just completed the most active year in band history by playing at major festivals like Food For Your Senses and winning the newcomer contests Screaming Fields and Rock the South. Tun, Sam, Kay and Laurent now turn their heads to 2013, concentrating all their energy into the release of their first EP, due out in March. The single “People” was the 3rd most played luxembourgish song 2012 on Eldoradio.

A young motivated indie-pop band, formed in late 2010 (although the current line up has been together since March 2011) seems to attract more and more people after every concert. Surely their key to rapid growth of fame must be hidden in their interesting genre, that lies somewhere between alternative-indie/brit-pop-punk. Velvet Vertigo will provide the audience a great show time after time!

We’re a four-piece punk band from Luxembourg. Since 2005 we’ve released some records, seen a few drummers come and go, played a hell of a lot of shows and toured Eastern Europe and Russia twice. Our song writing is highly inspired by Berkeley and Chicago punk bands and shit loads of other 90′s punk bands from all over. We try to be honest and true to ourselves and everyone else and sometimes succeed and sometimes fail miserably. We’re always broke because we put everything we got into this band. The name means absolutely nothing.

Vintage Gigolos first hit Luxembourg stages in 2007 and 2008.
2009 saw the Gigolos start preparation for their first record and several line-up changes followed.
In July 2010 their debut album was recorded “The Day After” at Holtz Studios, Tuntange and released in December the same year.
In January 2011, after only 1 week on iTunes, their single The Day After reached 2nd place in the Luxembourg iTunes- and RTL Hitmaschinn- charts ; the highest entry ever ! The following week the single was number one and remained there for two weeks !The release of their EP Up at Atelier in April 2012 was another great success.
In the last years they have played numerous concerts including the Rock um Knuedler festival.
In January 2013 Jean-Paul joined the band as their new drummer and together they’re currently working on new songs as an album is planned for 2014.

Founded in August 2010, “We knew John Doe” are playing an aggressive music combining the styles of Melodic Death Metal bands, such as Arch Enemy and In Flames, and Metalcore bands such as August Burns Red, Bullet for my Valentine and As I Lay Dying. Their music occasionally slips into softer genres, to build up contrasts and prevent their music from being too monotone.

 

They were playing at the national well known „Metal Festival Kopstal“ and the „Food For Your Senses festival“ and were headlining the „Screamingfields 2011“.

 

They recorded a Demo CD at Heckenmonster Studios in November 2010, which was released on January 1st 2011, and recorded their first EP, A Prophecy, at S.A. Studios in Summer 2011 which was released 10.12.2011

Although Yehan Jehan & Antimatter People are still in the beginning of their musical career, the amount that they developed in so little time is astounding. Their psychedelic sixties sound is catching the attention of music enthusiasts across London and Luxembourg. Even if these guys are still new on the scene and have loads of time to make their mark, 2012 might be their year

Zero Point 5 is an acoustic Rock band founded in 2009. Kiko Menichetti and Gilles Saracini started playing music together after having met each other in the same school class. Even though Zero Point 5 started as an acoustic guitar project, a drum and a bass, played by Jeremi Witte and Pietro Marchesini, have joined the band to spice the gigs.

Kiko M. and Gilles S. participated to the first RTL contest ‘Wanns de eppes kanns’, where they placed 3rd. In 2010, the band was nominated for the ‘Youth Music Awards’ of Luxembourg in the category ‘Best Lyrics’.

The band performed at various Festivals in Luxembourg (Rock um Knuedler, Food For Your Senses, Screaming Fields @ Rockhal, Fête de la Musique in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg City, Bridel) and abroad : Germany, Netherlands, France.

In 2012, Zero Point 5 supported Coeur de Pirate @ Den Atelier and is currently recording the first album to be released in 2013.
